Garchumuk is an ideal weekend destination located in the Howrah district of West Bengal. It is a popular picnic spot too. How to Reach

You can reach Uluberia from Howrah by train. From there buses are running to Garchumuk. Apart from this Garchumuk can be reached from Kolkata by bus. You can board Gadiara bound buses from Esplanade bus terminus and disembark at Atanna Gate.

Tumbani (also spelled as Tumboni) is a tribal village situated in the border area of Jharkhand and West Bengal. At Tumbani, one can experience nature at its best in a rural setting with Brahmani river flowing on one side. Tumbani is flanked by Kalipahar Forest on one side and Patalpahari village on the other. You can also visit Moluti from here, where the famous Bengali Saint Bamakhyapa had spent his childhood.

How to Reach

From Howrah you can reach Rampurhat by train. Auto rickshaws and jeeps are available from there to get to Tumbani.

Suakhal is a popular picnic spot which was developed by Hooghly Zilla Parishad. Spanning over an area of 8 acres, Suakhal Tourist Centre features an Energy Education Park. There are ample things for amusement at Suakhal. You will see Botanical Garden, Herb Garden, Flower Garden, Wonderland and many more things. There is boating facility and children's playground.

How to Reach

You have to reach Adisaptagram station from Howrah by train. The station lies on Howrah-Bardhhaman Main Line. From there you can reach Suakhal by rickshaw. Suakhal can also be reached from Serampore by bus (Route No. 12/C/1).

Bangriposi

Bangriposi is a small tribal village situated beside Buribalam River in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The hamlet is nestled in the Thakurani range of hills. Bangriposi is situated in the outskirts of Simlipal National Park and is also considered as a gateway to this sanctuary. The surrounding environment of Bangriposi is full of scenic beauty and serenity. The prime attraction of Bangriposi is the Buribalam Waterfalls. You can also visit the Kanak Devi shrine situated in the hills. The sunrise seen from Bangriposi is an unforgettable experience. Giridih

Giridih is a health resort situated in the state of Jharkhand. The place is located on the banks of River Usri. Every year many tourists visit Giridih to recover their health. You can see distant small hills and the Usri river flowing by the side of the town. The river remains full of water during monsoon and becomes dry during the hot summers. Chumbung

Chumbung is a small village in the district of West Sikkim. The village is primarily inhabited by the Bhutias. From here one can get a spectacular view of Mt. Khangchendzonga.
