Borong

Borong is a nature lover's paradise, 17 km from Ravangla in the Indian state of Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 5800 ft above sea level, the place serves as an ideal destination for spending time with nature. Borong is situated in a calm and peaceful environment with chirping birds, dense forests and mind blowing views of the snow capped mountain peaks. View of sunrise and sunset from Borong is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The prime attraction of Borong is the Dungdung Waterfalls. Apart from that there are two more waterfalls namely Rainbow Falls and Silver Falls which are also worth visiting. How to Reach

Trains are running from Sealdah and Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri. Auto rickshaws are plying from New Jalpaiguri to Siliguri. Shared jeeps are available from Siliguri to reach Namchi. Shared jeep charges around Rs. 150 per head. The journey takes about three hours. It takes another one and a half hour to reach Borong from Namchi by shared car. Shared car charges around Rs. 120 per head. You can also reserve a car from Siliguri to reach Borong directly. In that case the cost will be around Rs. 4000.

Bunkulung

Bunkulung is a picturesque Himalayan village situated at a distance of 15 km from Mirik in West Bengal. Bunkulung is surrounded by majestic hills and cascading rivers. Nestled in the lap of nature, the village is mostly inhabited by the Limbus of Gorkha community. The lush green meadows, outstretching paddy fields, scores of ponds and mesmerizing greenery make the place immensely beautiful. The Balasun and Murmah Khola rivers flow by the side of this hamlet. Rongo

Tandrabung

Tandrabung is a small village situated at a distance of 22 km from Lava in West Bengal. The village is mostly inhabited by the Lepchas. Cars are available from New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri to reach Kalimpong. Tandrabung is 27 km from Kalimpong. Another way of getting to Tandrabung is to reach Mal Junction by train from Sealdah and then take a car to Lava. Tandrabung is 22 km from Lava. Hired cars are plying from Lava to Tandrabung.

Garuchira

Garuchira is a picturesque village situated in the Terai region of West Bengal. The Indo-Bhutan Border is located very close to Garuchira. The main attraction of this place is its lovely natural beauty. The dense forests, rocky hills of Bhutan, orchid flowers and lush green tea gardens make Garuchira the ideal place for spending time amidst nature. Rivers Sukti and Khagra flow by Garuchira. Wild elephants are often seen in the forests of Garuchira. Buses are available from Siliguri to reach Mongpu. One has to travel the rest of the way to Sitong by car.

Chamurchi

Chamurchi is a small and beautiful hill town situated near Indo-Bhutan border. The place is still unexplored and virgin and you will not find much tourists hanging around you. Cascading rivers, lush green tea gardens and a small market make up Chamurchi. The view of Mt. Kanchenjunga is mesmerizing. From Chamurchi you can visit Samtse in Bhutan. Another attraction is the Musical Stone Cave which is just 3 km from Chamurchi. The main characteristic of this cave is that when someone strikes the stones in the cave, a musical sound comes out. You will also witness the flow of the Diana river. Wild animals are sometimes seen drinking water from this river. Rohiti, Garuchira and Kalapani forests are also worth a visit.
