Kamarpukur

Kamarpukur is a village in Hooghly district of West Bengal. The village is renowned for being the birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. He was born on 17th February 1836 in the village of Kamarpukur, into a very poor and orthodox brahmin family. The place has now become a pilgrimage destination for Hindus. Krishnanagar
