Garpanchkot

Garpanchkot is nestled in the Panchet hill of West Bengal. The place is calm, serene and surrounded by nature. The height of Garpanchkot hill is 646 meter. A Terracota temple is located on the hill. The ruins of Kashipur Rajprasad can be seen here. You can also see the Pancharatna Temple which was constructed by the King of Kashipur. Panchet Dam is located about 5 km from Garpanchkot. There is a road on the dam which connects West Bengal and Jharkhand. You will be able to see a number of boats crossing the Damodar river from here.

How to Reach

Trains are running from Howrah to Kumardubi. It takes about 4 hours to reach Kumardubi from Howrah. Hired cars and auto rickshaws are available from Kumardubi to Garpanchkot which is 20 km away.
